DIY Feather Coasters

It's the start of a New month & Easter is this weekend which means it's time for new Decor Inspiration! I had been holding onto a few left over feathers from a previous project, but wasn't ever sure what for, I ended up having a Lot of fun creating these super cute
Springy coasters. They are quite possibly the best thing I have ever made out of  dollar-store feathers & I've got a feeling these may stick around far past Easter.

What You'll Need:

Artificial Feathers
Felt (in any neutral colour)
Hot Glue Gun & Glue Refills
Pen/Pencil
Scissors

How To:

Full Disclosure: This was incredibly messy - Cutting the artificial feathers caused shedding and a lot of loose flying fluffies!
Step 1. Draw/Trace & Cut out circle bases from felt - I recommend tracing something, another coaster, a small plate/bowl ect.

Step 2. Select / lay out feathers to cover entire felt circle - don't worry about over hang this will be dealt with later -just be sure the entire surface is covered!

Step 3. Using your hot glue gun (very sparingly) adhere the feathers - they will melt if you use to much glue so be mindful of this - a bad'll do ya! If there are any holes or patches you aren't so happy with simply patch with additional feathers.

Step 4.  Flip over & trim back any excess.

 & Voila!
Be sure to keep your eye on Upcy for the remainder of the Week for a bunch more Easter themed DIY's including the 1st Tutorial for Kids!!
